02 / Wherever your work lives
Open a folder on your phone. Connect to your own desktop or server. Pick up a file from GitHub. Once connected, tap a file and get to work.
Open the files and folders you choose. Edit locally, even when the world goes offline.
Pair with the companion API running on your computer. You choose exactly which folders to share.
Connect over SSH/SFTP or FTP/FTPS. Edit a local buffer, then deliberately save your changes back.
Browse GitHub, review published changes, and edit files. Commit to your chosen branch when you’re ready.
Remote connections need a network and your own setup. Uploads and commits happen when you choose.
03 / A workspace that respects your space
Open the app. Open a file.
You’re already where you need to be.
Local editing, language checks, and web previews work without a connection or a Pocket Editor account. There are no ads or analytics in the app, and no automatic source uploads.
Your projects live in the folders you choose. Optional services are yours to connect, and yours to disconnect.

Connect to your server through SSH, or set up the separately installed Termux app and OpenSSH for a local terminal. Language runtimes and other tools must be installed in that environment. The built-in preview runs browser code; it is not a bundled Python or Node.js runtime.
No. Pocket Editor is an independent native Android app. It includes its own editing tools, snippets, and tasks, and does not load VS Code extensions or VSIX packages. It is not affiliated with Microsoft or Visual Studio Code.
